This is an ode. To the simple days. To the summer days. To alone days. To the nights that last forever and leave you laughing in the morning. To doing back drops on your trampoline by yourself. To running at six in the morning when the world is just beginning to wake. To screaming till you have no voice at a concert, dancing till you want to collapse, and falling into that heavenly bed of yours after its done. To holding on for dear life as you see the boat turn a sharp left, and know that you and your friends will flip off into the refreshing water. To see your’ family laughing, smiling, and finally not caring about the outside world. To running as fast as you can across the sun fried grass, collapsing as you loose your breath, and finally decide that, yes your dogs may be short and stubby, but they are faster than you. To walking to the perfect song, as it seems like it has melded into the background and belongs there. To fighting the waves at the beach and feeling the tingling sensation of the salty water on your face. To eating frozen strawberries on the warmest of nights, savoring the cold flavor on your tongue, making your lips turn a boldly stained red. To not thinking as your sprint off the rocky cliff and watch, eyes wide as you come closer to the water with every passing second. To getting your first taste of teenage rebellion as you make a fake you in your bed, creep silently to the garage door to let yourself out, feeling your heart beating, and running for a block or two just to make sure they don’t catch up with you. To laughing till your stomach hurts as you see your friend fall and bring people and their drinks down with her. To putting your feet up on the dashboard and singing because the car is so beaten, and broken that it doesn’t have a radio. To laying in your backyard feeling the seasons change as you feel the sun rays begin to beat on your face, and the new fresh smell carried by the breeze of the flowers that have come out of hiding.  These moments make life beautiful, unexplainable, irresponsible, and magical. Keep your memories close. They can save you even on the darkest of days.
